From April 24th to 28th the delegation of the SEMpa’s Department of International Relations visited our partner, the University of International Business in Almaty in Kazakhstan. The visit of Assoc. prof. Ing. Stanislav Filip, PhD. and Ing. Marián Kováč, PhD. was focused on mobility within the Erasmus Plus program.
During their lectures on Risk Management and Crisis Management held for students of Bachelor and Master study programs, they presented the SEMpa, Bratislava and Slovakia as an EU member country. During the meetings with the university‘s management they negotiated possibilities and conditions of cooperation not only within the Erasmus Plus program, but also standard academic bilateral cooperation between both institutions.
The specific aim of the visit was participation of our representatives at the international scientific conference, at which in the plenary session our delegation presented contributions about educational and scientific research activities of the SEMpa and innovation processes in risk management.
The visit showed that the private University of International Business in Almaty has high level of education quality in the English language, the similar focus on scientific research activities as SEMpa does and as well as modern and well-equipped building with good logistic support, which our students and staff can use while on their Erasmus Plus mobilities. Representatives of both institutions expressed their interest to further develop cooperation on a contractual basis.
