On November 14, 2024, the Bratislava University of Economics and Management hosted the International Scientific Conference titled "Innovation Processes in Management, Business, and Public Administration," featuring participants from various countries including China, Germany, Portugal, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania. The conference began with opening remarks by Dr. h. c. doc. Ing. Ľuboš Cibák, PhD. MBA, Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, alongside His Excellency Cai Ge, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China in Slovakia. Prof. Haohan Wang, President of Ningbo University of Finance and Economics (NUFE) in China, also addressed the attendees.
A significant highlight of the event was the ceremonial signing of an extension to the cooperation agreement between the Rector of the University and Mr. Li Xiangdong, Vice President of NUFE. During the plenary session, Prof. Ing. Juraj Sipko, PhD., MBA, from the Institute of Economics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the European Economic and Social Committee of the EU, delivered a lecture on "Climate Change and Its Impact on the Economy."
The conference progressed in a hybrid format, incorporating both in-person and online presentations across three sessions. The first session, chaired by Dr. Daiteng Ren and Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs Ing. Marián Kováč, PhD., univ. assoc. prof., focused on the Second China-Slovakia Bilateral Forum on Science and Research Development in Digital Economy, Finance, and Taxation. The second session, led by assoc. prof. PaedDr. Marcel Lincényi, PhD., univ. prof. and assoc. prof. PhDr. Agnesa Víghová, PhD., addressed innovation and management development in Industry 4.0. The third session, under the leadership of assoc. prof.. Ing. Iveta Dudová, PhD. and PhDr. Silvia Matúšová, PhD., univ. assoc. prof., explored innovative challenges in education and labor market development.
Throughout the conference, 56 papers were presented, with 123 participants attending in-person and online. The presenters included PhD. students from China, Germany, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Following the conference, preparations are underway to publish the Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference.
