22. augusta 2019
Wednesday, 22 August 2019 was very special at SEMPA. First five Ukrainian students, who had been attending common study programme under the project of IT association of Slovakia, School of Economics and management of public administration in Bratislava and Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, stepped in front of the final state examination board. These institutions in cooperation with IT companies Atos Slovensko and SOITRON, s.r.o. prepared common master’s study programe and study programme „Economical analyses and information systems in enterpreneurship“, which consisted of programming and theoretical education of managerial disciplines in Slovak language, as well as of professional practice in programming and data processing on selected positions in above mentioned companies.
Favourable conditions for studies and professsional practice as well as living in Bratislava contributed to Ukraininan students‘ sucessfully defending diploma theses and passing final state exams in two areas.
IT association and management of cooperating schools and companies are grateful to first graduates, that they undertook an uneasy test of patience and tolerance with solving issues connected to pilot projects.
Reward for this is a master’s degree, valid acrosss EU and for first four graduates a permanent employment contract in Slovak republic.
This project was from its beginning supported by former Slovak government Deputy prime minister and Minister for investment and informatization and current Prime minister Mr. Peter Pellegrini. We are glad to conclude, that the pilot project met its objectives and contributed to raising awareness and interest of Ukrainian students and schools in this kind of common study programmes.
