Dormitory

Dormitory facilities:

One whole floor is fully furnished and only for students of BUEM. Rooms are fully equipped for two and three students. In each room is a wardrobe, bed, and storage space for each resident. There is always only one table in the room, which is used for all. Tables and chairs for studying are located in the study room, which is available for each student 24/7. The entire floor is covered with wi-fi internet access. Showers and toilets for men and women are divided on the right and left side of the dormitory. They have been completely renovated and are equipped with two washing machines with no charging extra. Both showers and toilets are located in the corridor. On the right side of the elevator is a common kitchen, equipped with two hot-air cookers, cooking equipments, five  refrigerators and storage spaces on both sides. The kitchenette also has microwave and equipment for cleaning and tidying up. The dorm also has two parking spaces for our residents. We offer a choice of three different types of rooms - Standard, Comfort and Deluxe. The difference of rooms are furniture and room condition. Standard is considered the base and Deluxe rooms are considered the best. Standard rooms are available in both double and triple options. Comfort rooms are in triple version and Deluxe rooms are in double version only.

Location:

The BUEM dormitory is located in the city district - Rača, in the locality Krasňany. It is a quiet, peaceful and safe location, which belongs to the third district of Bratislava. Near the dormitory there are located - Malé Karpaty Mountains, which offers the opportunity to go jogging, cycling, shorter hikes or to exercise. Most of all in near surroundings is no factory or other production hall.Therefore, the surroundings of the boarding house are very clean and quiet.  The dormitory is 6,3 km from the centre by foot and 9,2 km from the school by foot. Near the dormitory there is  bus stop that will take you to the nearby villages  of Bratislava as well as to nearby castles and nature.

Transport Connection:

The location of the boarding school is very attractive, so you can reach it from every direction. It has connections to several transport hubs. The most convenient means of transport for commuting to the dormitory is tram number 3. There is a tram stop number 3 - PEKNÁ CESTA in both directions (to and from the city) in close proximity, exactly 8 minutes walk from the dormitory. The tram number 3 is working in 5 minute intervals every weekday and every 7 minute intervals during holidays and weekends. The tram stop is equipped with a ticket machine where card payment is possible. The journey to the city centre by tram 3 takes 10 minutes, the journey to the VŠEM school takes 26 minutes and the journey to the school by car takes approximately 12 minutes.

Urban amenities:

There is a LIDL supermarket a 5-minute walk. Alternatively, there is another supermarket to choose from - KRAJ. There are also located two pharmacies 2 minutes walk from the dormitory, ATMs of Tatra Banka and Slovenska Sporitelna are 2 minutes walk away. Nearby is also located  drugstore of  Teta. Arround the dormitory there is a choice of 5 different restaurants, or you can order food cheaply over the internet or by phone, using delivery service. There are also several cafes and a church near the dormitory.

In case of free spots, the dormitory offers accommodation also for students from other Universities in accordance with the regulations and individual agreements.

Short-time stay at the dormitory is charged 25€/per night and it is subject of a specific approval process.
